A motorcycle product test review
Extremely durable against headwinds and harsh weather

I spent a week on the road riding through flash floods, tropical storms, extreme heat, baking sun, hungry swamp mosquito swarms, cell-tower dead zones, and raging gale winds. The one piece of motorcycle equipment/gear that didn’t give into the hazards of the elements was the LEXIN B4FM Bluetooth Headset. When LEXIN says waterproof, they mean it, unlike my full-body hi-vis ‘supposed waterproof jumpsuit. This tiny motorcycle tech is rugged enough to ride with the toughest of riders through the roughest of rides. It is the steel-toe boot of Bluetooth motorcycle helmet comms devices. I took it on a roadtrip for a week and not once, did it need a charge. I wouldn’t be surprised if this tough little S.O.B. wasn’t labeled military grade.

The LEXIN BF4FM Is tough and Reliable
On the other hand, it’s not the prettiest nor the fanciest piece of biker tech. It’s clunky and rubbery looking. The buttons are big, and it protrudes out a good amount from motorcycle helmets. It doesn’t have all the chic voice activation features, scroll knobs, LCD panels, or suave magnetic locking mechanisms of other headsets. There’s no premium JBL speakers. Nor does it have an AI assistant to tell you jokes or a cool product app to download. It’s not a top-of-the-line product by any means. I don’t think owners that are afraid to get their fancy bikes dirty and expensive gear wet are LEXIN’S intended target market either. And, that’s perfectly ok. But, for those of us whose ever taken a bike for a cross-country tour, throttled through a Morocco dusty dessert trail, or thought of riding a motorcycle through a zombie apocalypse, the LEXIN B4FM headset will do what you need it to do.
To give you the most genuine and unbiased review possible, every product we review is tested daily throughout the normal course of day-to-day life for a period of no less than one week.
